LPG cars bring a number of advantages
Financial and operational advantages of LPG
You save money compared to petrol
Although the price of petrol keeps changing, it can generally be said that the price of LPG is half the price of petrol.
You don’t have to worry, everything works automatically in the car
You have two fuel tanks in your car. One for LPG, one for petrol. When you run out of LPG, you do not even notice because the car switches to petrol automatically and you just drive on. Only the warning light shows you that you will need to refuel LPG..
It works like a regular petrol station
Arrive at the station. Connect the hose to the tank. Refuel your car. Almost the same as regular petrol.
Today, everyone can do it, and even if not, the gas station staff will be happy to help you.
Drive and refuel all around Europe
LPG is the most common alternative fuel in Europe. With more than 15 million vehicles running on LPG and 46,000 gas stations, LPG offers European drivers a green alternative to conventional fuels.
And much more
• Enables the conversion of older vehicles.
• Vehicle performance remains the same.
• The car’s range is extended.
• It meets all requirements of safe operation.
Eco-friendly fuel
Low emissions of particulate matter and NOx
Autogas improves air quality because its combustion in the car engine produces almost no emissions of polluting particles or nitrogen oxide emissions.
Less CO2 emissions by up to 23%
LPG reduces CO2 emissions by 21% compared to petrol and even 23% compared to diesel. This significantly eliminates the ecological footprint you leave behind when travelling by car.
BioLPG – preparing for the future
BioLPG has recently started to be distributed. This renewable fuel can reduce CO2 emissions by up to 90% compared to current LPG. Renewable LPG can be mixed with conventional LPG or fully replace it without any impact on engine operation. So, there are no refuelling restrictions.
The most important questions about Autogas
What vehicles is Autogas suitable for?
LPG can be simply installed on any petrol engine, including FSI engines. The gas tank will be mounted in the spare wheel well. This will save a lot of space and you will not lose storage space in the trunk. By switching to gas, you do not give up petrol, but on the contrary – you retain the advantages of both.
An LPG vehicle is still capable of running on petrol. Switching to another type of fuel is done by pressing a button or fully automatically even while driving.
What about the tank size?
The size of the tank you get depends on the available space. However, the tank volume is usually between 30 and 80 litres. How far you can travel depends on your driving style. The range of your car is therefore between 400 and 700 kilometres. However, since you still have a second tank of petrol, you can easily drive from Berlin to Rome, for example, which is 1,500 kilometres.
Is LPG refuelling safe?
When it comes to safety, you have nothing to worry about. Each tank meets the strictest requirements and is made of 3.5 mm thick steel. It also contains a safety valve that monitors overpressure. In addition, LPG is liquid under very low pressure (5-8 bar).
And when refuelling the tank, a closed connection is created between the car’s tank and the pumping device, so no gas can escape. Interestingly, LPG refuelling is safer than petrol refuelling as you can never overfill the tank.
Can you refill LPG by yourself?
Yes, you can simply refill the LPG by yourself; you don’t need any special certificate or permit.
How many gas stations are there in the Czech Republic?
There are currently around 800 LPG filling stations in the country and the number is growing.
You already drive on LPG and need to refuel the tank?
